Recently, during the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, Sinopec Refining&Chemical Engineering Group Ningbo Engineering Company officially signed the contract for front-end engineering design and detailed design of the project, marking the extension of China's green engineering service capabilities westward along the Silk Road.
Production capacity covers diverse demands
This project integrates biomass raw material processing, green hydrogen production, sustainable aviation fuel, electro synthetic aviation oil, and green diesel production, making it a rare bio aviation oil complex in China with a full industry chain.

The main raw materials are agricultural waste such as sorghum, rice husk, and straw, supported by large-scale photovoltaic power stations, green hydrogen production, and energy storage facilities. Almost all of the electricity supply comes from clean energy. The plan is to produce approximately 160000 tons of biomass SAF, 250000 tons of electrically synthesized aviation fuel, and 5000 tons of green diesel annually. In addition to meeting the aviation industry demand in Central Asia, the products will also radiate to the Middle East and European markets, with outstanding carbon reduction benefits.
Full chain clean energy supply
Unlike traditional fuel projects, this project embeds green genes from the source. Large scale photovoltaic systems provide power support for hydrogen production and production processes, energy storage facilities ensure stable power supply, and green hydrogen is one of the key raw materials for electro synthesis of aviation fuel.

This model of deep coupling between wind solar hydrogen storage and biofuels significantly reduces carbon emissions throughout the entire production chain, providing a replicable technological path for the aviation industry to achieve net zero emissions.
Accelerating the formation of a green hub in Central Asia
Sinopec Refining&Chemical Engineering Group has been deeply involved in the field of engineering construction at home and abroad for many years, possessing full industry chain engineering technology and operation and maintenance service capabilities. Keywords: reports from state-owned enterprises, aviation fuel

The signing unit of this contract is Ningbo Engineering Company, which focuses on engineering design in the fields of petrochemicals, new energy, and energy conservation and environmental protection. It has undertaken multiple major green energy projects at home and abroad, with profound technical accumulation. Based on this cooperation, Sinopec will fully assist Uzbekistan in building a regional benchmark for green fuel industry, enhancing the country's position as an aviation hub in Central Asia, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of clean energy in Central Asia through green and pragmatic cooperation.Editor/Gao Xue
