Relying on the mature national YEKA bidding system, Türkiye once again added new energy track. In order to steadily promote the large-scale development of clean energy, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the country has announced a new large-scale wind and solar power bidding plan, which aims to expand the capacity through regular installation, sprint towards the medium and long-term development goals of new energy, and further improve the layout of the local renewable energy industry.

Clear bidding details
The total scale of this bidding is 2.4GW, divided into two major sections: 900MW photovoltaic and 1.5GW wind power, covering 14 photovoltaic power stations and 7 wind power sections. The bidding materials will be submitted uniformly from 10:00 to 12:00 on October 13th, and the official announcement of the site selection and bid opening time will be made afterwards. The maximum electricity price for this section is 0.055 euros per kilowatt hour, and the bottom prices for photovoltaic and wind power are 0.0325 and 0.0350 euros per kilowatt hour, respectively. If all prices hit the bottom, a bidding process will be initiated with a minimum markup threshold of 10000 euros per megawatt. The market-oriented electricity sales cycle for photovoltaic projects is 60 months, and for wind power it is 72 months. After the expiration, a 20-year long-term power purchase agreement is signed for both. The photovoltaic projects are distributed in nine provinces including Ankara, with a single station installed capacity of 25MW to 230MW. The Ankara 230MW photovoltaic power station is the largest single project.

Clear development pace
Türkiye has finalized the pace of normalized new energy expansion, and will add at least 2GW of wind power installed capacity every year, striving to reach the goal of 120GW of wind power installed capacity in 2035. Key words: Türkiye scenery bidding, new energy expansion

At present, the total installed capacity of renewable energy in the country is about 78GW, and the installed capacity of photovoltaics alone exceeded 26.7GW at the end of April. The YEKA bidding model is mature, and the first round of bidding at the beginning of last year has landed 800MW photovoltaic and 1.2GW wind power installations, laying a solid practical foundation for this large-scale bidding and continuously promoting the improvement and efficiency of the local new energy industry.Editor/Min Jing
