Houston, July 15th, 2026. A contract document from Saudi Aramco has put Halliburton's Middle East team in a tense countdown. This multi-year service contract not only signifies the official landing of a portion of a multi billion dollar project, but also marks the fast lane of one of the world's largest unconventional natural gas development projects - the development of the Jafurah Basin in Saudi Arabia. For Halliburton, this is a new journey spanning 80 years of cooperation and accumulation, and also the first large-scale demonstration of its intelligent fracturing technology in the Middle East region.

The first intelligent integration of hydraulic fracturing technology

Starting from the third quarter of 2026, Halliburton will deploy the first fully integrated intelligent fracturing platform in Saudi Arabia. This platform is equipped with OCTIV ®  Auto Frac automatic fracturing system and Sensori ™ Fracturing monitoring services can optimize the performance of fracturing operations in real time and support standardized and refined implementation during multi well batch development processes. This system digitizes and integrates the workflow, improving operational efficiency and enhancing on-site execution reliability, providing technical support for one of the world's largest unconventional gas fields.

Localized manufacturing synchronous expansion

To support the project, Halliburton plans to further expand its local manufacturing investment in Saudi Arabia, strengthen the construction of its supply chain system, and expand local talent development programs. This deployment aims to achieve business scale expansion, maintain high-level operational performance during the acceleration of unconventional development activities, and drive the upgrading of Saudi Arabia's domestic energy service industry chain. 80 Years of Collaboration Continued with a New Chapter

This contract is based on more than 80 years of cooperation between Halliburton and Saudi Arabia, and is a further deepening of the long-term strategic partnership between the two parties. Rami Yassine, President of Halliburton's Eastern Hemisphere Business, stated that this collaboration will drive the development of unconventional natural gas resources in the Kingdom and promote a more integrated development model within the region. At present, development activities in the Jafurah Basin are progressing in an orderly manner, and cooperation between the two sides will further accelerate Saudi Arabia's natural gas production targets.Editor/Gao Xue
