Affected by the regional security situation, the transportation of materials in Pakistan's mining areas has encountered obstacles. The local government urgently deployed security forces to fully escort the operation of the Chinese owned Shandak gold mine, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the project.

On July 16th, according to foreign media reports, Pakistani Interior Minister Talal Choudhury announced that the Pakistani government has urged relevant agencies in Balochistan province to increase security deployment in mining areas. This security upgrade focuses on three key areas: personnel alert of mining facilities, protection of material transportation fleets, and guarantee of production fuel transportation, making every effort to clear the logistics channels in the mining area.

The relevant warning at the end of June showed that local safety issues had disrupted the transportation of project materials and posed a risk of production restrictions. The person in charge of the mining area clarified that there is currently no shutdown plan for the project, and the core demand is to restore normal supply of materials. The mining area is operated by MCC Group and located on the border of Pakistan and Iran. This security upgrade effectively strengthens the safety production barrier of Chinese overseas projects.Editor/Min Jing
