On the azure sea, the roar of steel giants is crossing continents. With the successive landing of two self elevating drilling platforms in Africa and Europe, ADES Group's global map has seen two more additions. From the hydrocarbon rich basins of West Africa to the tumultuous waves of the North Sea, this drilling powerhouse, with its solid technical strength, has simultaneously sounded the prelude to advancing in two core energy markets.

Take the overseas double new order

ADES Holdings, an oil and gas drilling service company under Saudi Arabia's ADES Group, has successfully won two new million dollar project contracts to operate two self elevating drilling platforms in Africa and Europe. ADES Holdings has partnered with Seplat Energy, a leading independent energy company in Nigeria, to secure the operating contract for the local Shelf Drilling Odyssey self elevating drilling platform. The contract has a fixed service period of two years and comes with two optional one-year renewal options. The renewal terms have not yet been priced.

This drilling platform is scheduled to officially start operations in the first quarter of 2027, and local supporting services will be fully managed by the local cooperative enterprise of the platform owner. All expenses within the fixed period of the contract, including equipment mobilization and evacuation related costs, have covered the rights and interests of local partners.

Deeply cultivating the African market

ADES Holdings stated that the successful bid further solidifies the company's market position in Nigeria's offshore drilling industry and confirms the strong demand for offshore oil and gas operations in West and Central Africa, as well as the sustained positive development of the industry. Previously, the company had secured orders for the Shelf Drilling Victory project in Nigeria. With the addition of this new contract, ADES has won multiple regional cooperation orders in the first half of 2026, steadily implementing the company's development strategy, continuously accumulating long-term orders, ensuring high operating rates for the drilling fleet, and creating long-term stable returns for shareholders.

Explore the European market

At the same time, ADES Holdings successfully secured the operation order for the UK North Sea Shelf Drilling Fortress self elevating drilling platform, with a partner being an undisclosed North Sea oil and gas operator. The contract includes two fixed operating oil wells with a minimum operating time of 550 days, and two optional additional operating wells with a minimum operating time of 275 days per well. The project is expected to start construction operations in the fourth quarter of 2026, and the contract covers all related costs such as fixed operation period, optional extension period, and equipment relocation. ADES Holdings pointed out that this bid highlights the strong demand in the North Sea oil and gas drilling market. Previously, the company had completed the contract renewal for the Dutch Shelf Drilling Winner drilling platform and deepened its presence in the European market. The landing of a series of domestic and overseas orders continues to help enterprises consolidate long-term order reserves, maintain efficient fleet operations, and steadily increase shareholder value.Editor/Gong Ziwei
