In July 2026, GLP officially landed in the local area, investing billions of dollars to layout large-scale green computing power projects, promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional infrastructure industries to the intelligent computing power track.

The project has landed with great weight

Recently, GLP signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Ulanqab City to jointly build a large-scale green power intelligent computing industry base. The project is located in the Chahar Right Wing Middle Banner Big Data Industrial Park, with a total investment of over 30 billion yuan and a planned land area of about 2000 acres. It will be developed and constructed in three phases. The project plans to reserve 1.4GW of strategic resources, relying on the operation and maintenance experience of domestic intelligent computing clusters at the 10000 card level, to create the core engine of Token City, accurately connect with the construction layout of the national 15th Five Year Plan computing power network, and become a typical model for the coordination of computing power in the East West Computing Project.

Unique computing advantages

Ulanqab, as the core hub of the country's eastern and western computing, has dual core advantages in computing power and green electricity. The local average annual temperature is suitable and the geology is stable, which can achieve natural cooling of the data center. Currently, the proportion of intelligent computing power in the city exceeds 90%, ranking among the top in the country in terms of scale. On the energy level, the region has abundant reserves of wind and solar resources, with new energy installed capacity exceeding 20.28 million kilowatts and green electricity accounting for 67%. Low cost and stable green electricity resources provide solid energy support for large-scale intelligent computing operations. The project adopts an integrated mode of source, grid, load, and storage to achieve millisecond level collaborative scheduling of wind and solar energy storage and computing power, which can reduce PUE to below 1.2 and create a zero carbon computing power system.
