On June 3, 2020, Sinopec issued an announcement that the construction of the 1st bid section of the line for the construction of the external transmission pipeline project of Huafeng LNG storage and distribution station and Huaying LNG receiving station undertaken by Henan Oil Construction Company's main natural gas pipeline network in East Guangdong was in Rao, Guangdong Province. Pingxian Huanggang Town fired and opened welding.

The East Guangdong Natural Gas Main Pipeline Network Project is one of the main construction projects of the Guangdong Natural Gas Main Pipeline Network during the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period. The Huizhou-Heyuan branch line project and the Huafeng LNG storage and distribution station and the Huaying LNG receiving station supporting external transmission pipeline project are composed of five subprojects, along the line through Heyuan, Huizhou, Shenzhen (Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone), Shantou, Shanwei, Jieyang, 8 cities of Chaozhou and Meizhou.

Among them, Huafeng LNG storage and distribution station and Huaying LNG receiving station of Yuedong natural gas main pipeline network are equipped with outgoing pipelines, starting from the first station in Chaocheng, Raoping County, Chaozhou City, and ending at Lianhua Terminal Station, Lianhua Town, Shantou City, with a total length of 58.3 Kilometer, the pipe diameter is 914 mm, the design pressure is 9.2 MPa, the designed output is 8 billion cubic meters per year, including 3 stations and 2 valve chambers. Henan Oil Construction Company mainly contracted the installation of 30.34 kilometers of 1 bid section of the project, 1 valve room construction, 4 rivers and fish ponds through directional drilling, 1 high-speed crossing, 1 national highway crossing, and 1 provincial highway crossing.

The pipeline route passes through high-speed roads, woodlands, and large-scale excavation of 1.5 kilometers of fish ponds. Construction is more difficult; the area where the pipeline is located has a long rainy season and a high groundwater level, which interferes with the construction period. To this end, the project department made good decisions and deployments based on the construction difficulties and strengthened overall planning. Based on the on-site situation, a 15-person coordination team was deployed to take advantage of the local government's coordination advantages to deepen the docking and take multiple measures to advance the coordination progress.

East Guangdong pipeline is an important project for Huafeng LNG and Huaying LNG to enter the eastern Guangdong market and connect with Guangdong's natural gas pipeline network. When completed and put into production, it will help improve the overall gas supply safety guarantee capability in eastern Guangdong and even the Pearl River Delta.
