Local departments in Baku have engaged in in-depth negotiations with Electric Power Construction Overseas Investment, focusing on the pace of promoting 160 MW photovoltaic and offshore wind power projects, and synchronously exploring the construction of energy storage grid supporting facilities. Relying on its geographical advantages, Azerbaijan is committed to building a cross regional energy network. This exchange promotes cooperation between the two sides from single point project development to a new stage of co building cross-border green energy corridors.

Continuous expansion of new energy cooperation

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikkel Jabarov met with POWERCHINA General Manager Yang Tianfu to discuss the development prospects of wind and solar projects, explore opportunities for public-private partnership models, and explore potential cooperation spaces in the fields of water resources and minerals. Previously, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov also held talks with Yang Tianfu, affirming the achievements of cooperation in the field of renewable energy between the two sides. Assist in the construction of regional energy corridors

Azerbaijan continues to promote the transformation of its energy structure, vigorously developing new energy on the basis of stabilizing the oil and gas industry. In the long run, it plans to add thousands of megawatts of clean electricity installed capacity, reduce local natural gas consumption, and increase its export scale. The local government is building a green energy network connecting Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Europe, and the Green Corridor Alliance is coordinating feasibility studies with enterprises.
