In the first half of 2026, the external power transmission in Gansu Province reached 45.843 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 38.29%. From the Gobi Desert to the eastern factories, clean power in Gansu is redefining its position on the national energy map.

The proportion of new energy installed capacity is 64.8%

As of the end of June 2026, the total installed power generation in Gansu Province reached 126.6224 million kilowatts, with new energy installations accounting for 64.8%. This means that two out of every three kilowatt hours of electricity in Gansu come from wind and light. The province has built one wind power base with a capacity of 10 million kilowatts and 11 wind and photovoltaic bases with a capacity of 1 million kilowatts. The installed capacity of new energy storage grid connected has exceeded 10 million kilowatts. Energy storage is equivalent to equipping wind and solar power plants with energy warehouses - storing surplus green electricity during the day and releasing electricity when the output of new energy decreases during the evening peak, achieving a certain degree of spatial and temporal displacement in new energy generation.

The power transmission map covers 26 provinces

The external transmission channel is the key to Gansu Green Power's nationwide expansion. In the first half of the year, the Longdian Shandong project operated at full power for 30 consecutive days, delivering an average of 165 million kilowatt hours per day; The Longdian Hunan project has exceeded 100 million kilowatt hours of daily transmission for 28 consecutive days. Gansu has also normalized inter provincial mutual aid in the northwest region through 22 750 kV inter provincial connection lines within the province, and signed 41 inter provincial power trading contracts in the first half of the year. What is more noteworthy is that for the first time, Gansu has used the time-sharing, AC/DC dual path mode to deliver power to Xizang. Since 2016, it has delivered 10.692 billion kilowatt hours of power to Tibet, becoming the first province in China to deliver power to Tibet exceeding 10 billion yuan.
