As of the end of June 2026, the total installed power generation in Gansu Province reached 126.6224 million kilowatts, with new energy installations accounting for 64.8%. This means that two out of every three kilowatt hours of electricity in Gansu come from wind and light. The province has built one wind power base with a capacity of 10 million kilowatts and 11 wind and photovoltaic bases with a capacity of 1 million kilowatts. The installed capacity of new energy storage grid connected has exceeded 10 million kilowatts. In the first half of the year, the Longdian Shandong project operated at full power for 30 consecutive days, delivering an average of 165 million kilowatt hours per day; The Longdian Hunan project has exceeded 100 million kilowatt hours of daily transmission for 28 consecutive days. Gansu has also normalized inter provincial mutual aid in the northwest region through 22 750 kV inter provincial connection lines within the province, and signed 41 inter provincial power trading contracts in the first half of the year.
