Türkiye has become one of the most intensive destinations for Chinese enterprises to go to sea. CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive&Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. signed a light rail vehicle supply contract with the Bursa Metropolitan Government, and Sinoma Overseas signed a new 45MW photovoltaic order with Limak Group. Goldwind Technology supplied wind turbines for Aksa Enerji's 100.08MW wind energy storage project. From rail transit to photovoltaic wind power, three Chinese enterprises have concentrated in less than a month. Türkiye is becoming a key springboard for China's manufacturing industry to cross the Asia Europe energy corridor.

Breakthrough in the third line of rail transit photovoltaic and wind power

On June 29, 2026, CRRC Zhuji won the Bulsa Light Rail Vehicle Supply Contract with 2.84 billion Türkiye Lira. It will provide 20 new light rail vehicles for BursaRay, with a localization rate of 60%. Some manufacturing will be completed in CRRC Ankara factory, and delivery is expected to be within 15 months. On July 2nd, Sinoma Overseas signed another Siirt2-45MW photovoltaic project with Limak Group. Prior to this, the 36MW power station had been completed and put into operation for one year, and the cooperation had expanded from cement engineering to the new energy track. Goldwind Technology supplies GWH182-8.0MW wind turbine and supporting BESS scheme to Aksa Enerji, the largest listed independent power producer in Türkiye. The project is planned to be put into operation in October 2026.

Rumors of building a factory worth 300 million euros have surfaced

According to local media in Türkiye on July 29, 2026, a Chinese wind turbine manufacturer is planning to invest about 300 million euros to build a wind turbine blade factory, covering an area of more than 125000 square meters, creating about 600 jobs, and targeting a localization rate of 65%. The company name was not disclosed in the report, and the location was evaluated between Bandarma in Baleksier Province and Qine in Aiden Province. Qine, which has green industrial zone certification and is close to the Port of Guluk, is considered the most promising candidate. The final investment decision is expected to be made by the end of August. The rumored project and Goldwind Technology's previously announced Izmir blade factory are two separate projects, and no formal agreement has been signed yet. Triple trump cards outline cooperation samples

Türkiye has signed a customs union agreement with the EU, allowing industrial products to enter the EU market at zero tariff. Against the background of the EU's imposition of tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, Türkiye is becoming a key springboard for China's manufacturing industry to enter Europe on a curve. Türkiye has clearly put forward the goal of 120GW wind and photovoltaic installation in 2035, and the rigid demand determines the long-term large-scale import demand for wind power photovoltaic equipment. The YEKA bidding mechanism has a mandatory localization ratio threshold for local manufacturing, with a requirement of 75% for photovoltaic modules, 65% for wind turbine blades, and 60% localization rate for CRRC light rail projects as separate contract terms. In July 2026, Türkiye's energy minister visited China and signed a memorandum of understanding on energy transformation cooperation. BYD plans to invest $1 billion to build an electric vehicle factory, and Chinese enterprises are moving from selling products to building industries.Editor/Gao Xue
