At the foot of the Tianshan Mountains in Almaty, the wind carries the scent of oil, gas, and minerals. A dialogue spanning traditional finance and the digital world begins here, with elites from government and enterprises gathering to attempt to break down the barriers to the flow of physical assets and build an intangible bridge between dormant resources and distant capital.

Basic Overview of the Summit

On August 18, 2026, the Global RWA Summit will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The summit was jointly initiated by Websea and multiple institutions, and the government and deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan confirmed their attendance. This is the first RWA special summit in Central Asia that involves high-level government participation across energy, traditional finance, and blockchain. Websea, as the core joint unit and the only digital asset trading platform included in the Central Asian national strategic framework of the summit, coordinates global resource docking and agenda planning.

Opportunities for regional industrial development

Many people only consider RWA as a technical concept and do not realize that it is changing the rules of cross-border physical asset circulation. Data shows that the scale of global physical asset tokenization continues to grow, and international financial institutions are laying out their tracks one after another. Central Asia has abundant energy and mineral resources, but cross-border asset circulation is difficult and financing channels are limited. RWA can effectively solve such problems. Kazakhstan continues to introduce digital industry policies and build a digital finance hub in Central Asia. The resonance between policies and industry demands highlights the important value of this summit.

Building a Eurasian Cooperation Hub

Unlike industry forums that focus on technology sharing, this summit brings together representatives from government, enterprises, finance, and physical industries for dialogue. The topics covered physical asset compliance and chain right confirmation, cross-border collaboration standards, and the new model of digital economy and trade along the the Belt and Road. Websea is committed to building a cross-border RWA asset hub, bridging the communication between Eastern Capital, Hong Kong financial markets, and Central Asian resources. Keywords: Kazakhstan, Central Asia, the Belt and Road News

Previous blockchain conferences have often limited communication within the circle, but this summit promotes the implementation of RWA in national level industrial cooperation. The compliant development of RWA can reduce cross-border asset transaction costs, enhance liquidity, and serve the real economy. The Almaty Summit is just the starting point. Eurasia is working together to improve asset digitization standards, and a new cross-border digital economic and trade channel is gradually taking shape.Editor/Gong Ziwei
