Recently, the Ethiopia International Silk Road Reception Hall was officially unveiled in Addis Ababa. The unveiling ceremony attracted representatives from the governments, financial institutions, legal professionals, universities, and businesses of China and Egypt to participate together.

China Egypt economic and trade cooperation continues to heat up

In recent years, the bilateral friendly relations between China and Ethiopia have steadily deepened, and practical cooperation in various fields has continued to be implemented. Ethiopia has become an important partner for Chinese enterprises to explore the African market. According to statistical data, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries will reach 4.716 billion US dollars in 2025, with a year-on-year increase of about 32.8%.

Building a two-way economic and trade exchange platform

The Ethiopia International Silk Road Reception Hall is committed to creating a new platform for China Ethiopia enterprise docking and cooperation, focusing on industry matching, investment promotion, information exchange, legal protection, talent interaction and other directions, providing comprehensive support for the cooperation between the two countries' market entities. Asaye Alemayehu Dejjenie, a senior diplomat from Ethiopia, said that relying on the continuous improvement of bilateral relations, he hopes that the Silk Road reception hall will become an important link connecting the enterprises of the two countries.

Zhao Zichen, Secretary General of the Modern Service Industry Working Committee of China Economic Union, introduced that the Working Committee has joined hands with Sanchuanghe (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. to integrate domestic industrial resources and international cooperation channels, promote precise matching between the Chinese and Egyptian markets, and tap into the potential for cooperation in industrial investment, cross-border trade, digital economy, green energy, and modern agriculture. Cheng Cheng, adviser to the European Center for Peace and Development of the United Nations University for Peace in China, proposed to promote China's technology, capital and development experience to meet Ethiopia's development needs, and continue to deepen China Africa practical cooperation on the the Belt and Road. At the event, the Silk Road Nebula Global Co Creation Center Information Database Mini Program was officially launched, relying on digital tools to assist enterprises in resource matching, project negotiation, and business cooperation docking.
