Urumqi at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains has welcomed a special group of guests. With the deepening of the the Belt and Road Initiative, connectivity in the field of education is becoming an important link between the people of countries along the Belt and Road. Recently, a delegation of 50 primary and secondary school principals from Kazakhstan successfully arrived in Urumqi, embarking on a journey of exploring the future of education. As the backbone of the "Future School" project in Kazakhstan, their trip aims to bring China's digital education wisdom back to Central Asia through the international seminar on the application of artificial intelligence technology in the education system.

Digital Silk Road Connected Classroom
In the smart campus of Urumqi, the principals of Kazakhstan witnessed firsthand how the "Digital Silk Road" was brought into reality. From the academic management platform relying on cloud computing to the AI teaching resource library covering all disciplines, the digital solutions presented by the Chinese side left a deep impression on the delegation. This is not only a demonstration of technology, but also a vivid footnote to the the Belt and Road education action. Through on-site inspections, principals have seen China's systematic layout in improving teachers' digital skills, which coincides with the strategy of introducing international advanced experience into the national education system by the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan, and also outlines a specific path for the co construction and sharing of educational resources between the two countries.

Building the cornerstone of future schools together
In addition to technical exchanges, both sides also focused on exploring the linkage mechanism of talent cultivation. Kazakhstan is vigorously promoting the construction of "future schools" and urgently needs to solve the problem of how to normalize the application of artificial intelligence tools in education and teaching. Chinese peers shared successful models of deep cooperation between primary and secondary schools and higher education institutions, especially how to leverage the research advantages of universities to support basic education. This cross regional experience exchange is exactly the core value of education cooperation under the the Belt and Road framework, helping Kazakhstan avoid detours and directly benchmark international cutting-edge standards.

Deepening the Vision of Educational Cooperation
At the end of the seminar, the results were already evident. The Harbin delegation plans to gradually integrate the management model and practical experience learned from this experience into the "Future School" project in their country. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan said that he would continue to rely on the the Belt and Road Initiative to expand professional exchanges with Chinese educational institutions. The 50 principals' trip to China not only brought back specific technical solutions, but also built an educational bridge connecting the hearts of the Chinese and Kazakh people, which indicates that the two countries will have closer cultural exchanges in the high-quality development stage of the the Belt and Road.Editor/Yang Meiling
