The integrated circuit industry is an important strategic support for developing new quality productivity and maintaining the independent security of the industrial and supply chains. The total investment of the Chip City Science and Technology Innovation Base exceeds 19.4 billion yuan, making it the largest PPP industry project in Jiangsu Province and the core platform for the construction of the Chip City in Jiangbei New Area. At present, some of the main workshops in Phase III have been completed, and the equipment is about to enter the site for commissioning, urgently requiring power support.

Optimizing solutions to solve difficult problems

The construction time of this project is tight and the power load for debugging is high. If the traditional plan is used, several kilometers of cables need to be newly laid from a distant substation, which has a long construction period and high investment cost. State Grid Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Power Supply Company has identified the project requirements and built a temporary power supply channel based on the existing 10 kV line of the 110 kV Huqiao substation nearby, effectively shortening the construction period and saving construction investment.

The project leader Hua Cheng stated that the process from submitting the electricity demand to completing the power transmission was nearly a month ahead of schedule. The power supply department provides one-on-one exclusive services, allowing the construction party to focus on advancing the project construction.
