Recently, there was an exciting news coming from deep in the southeastern plateau of Tibet. At the construction site of Datang Zhala Hydropower Station, a giant rotor weighing 840 tons was accurately positioned and successfully lifted. At this moment, the global record for single unit capacity of impact hydropower units has been officially broken - China's hydropower once again stands at the top of the world in the fields of high-altitude, ultra-high head, and large capacity units. From being technologically advanced in the past to now leading the way in all aspects, China's hydropower industry demonstrates the confidence of a great power in manufacturing with its hardcore capabilities.

Rotor lifting sets world record
The rotor that has been lifted and installed at the Zhala Hydropower Station is the power heart of the entire generator set, weighing 840 tons, equivalent to the total weight of 560 household cars. In high-altitude, complex construction conditions, and extremely difficult high-altitude sites, the engineering team accurately completes the lifting of super heavy rotors, and every inch of alignment and every takeoff and landing has undergone ultimate testing. This breakthrough fills multiple technological gaps in the industry, completely breaks down foreign technological barriers, and marks the official entry of China's core technology for ultra-high head and large capacity impact hydropower equipment into the world's leading ranks.

Nearly 4 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity are generated annually
The Zhala Hydropower Station has overcome many world-class challenges such as high altitude, ultra-high water head, and large capacity unit adaptation. After the power station is fully put into operation, it can stably produce nearly 4 billion kilowatt hours of clean green electricity annually. Its ecological value is considerable, saving 1.3 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.42 million tons annually. Behind this set of data is China's firm commitment to green and low-carbon development, which has accelerated the construction of a clean energy base in southeastern Tibet and helped to develop energy in the western region and optimize national energy allocation.

China leads the way in hydropower comprehensively
From the previous trend of following and running hydropower technology, to now leading the industry and defining industry standards, China's hydropower industry has amazed the world with numerous breakthroughs. Builders tackle challenges in high-altitude wastelands, build dream infrastructure under complex geological conditions, and overcome world-class problems through independent innovation. The significant breakthrough of Zhala Hydropower Station is not only a new milestone in China's hydropower technology, but also a vivid witness to China's green development and the country's responsibility as a major power. Rooted in the plateau, empowering mountains and seas, the business cards of China's intelligent manufacturing, China's infrastructure, and China's green power are echoing around the world.Editor/Gao Xue
