The rotor that has been lifted and installed at the Zhala Hydropower Station is the power heart of the entire generator set, weighing 840 tons, equivalent to the total weight of 560 household cars. In high-altitude, complex construction conditions, and extremely difficult high-altitude sites, the engineering team accurately completes the lifting of super heavy rotors, and every inch of alignment and every takeoff and landing has undergone ultimate testing. This breakthrough fills multiple technological gaps in the industry, completely breaks down foreign technological barriers, and marks the official entry of China's core technology for ultra-high head and large capacity impact hydropower equipment into the world's leading ranks.

Nearly 4 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity are generated annually

The Zhala Hydropower Station has overcome many world-class challenges such as high altitude, ultra-high water head, and large capacity unit adaptation. After the power station is fully put into operation, it can stably produce nearly 4 billion kilowatt hours of clean green electricity annually. Its ecological value is considerable, saving 1.3 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.42 million tons annually.
