The construction of the Boluo Hydropower Station in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River is steadily advancing, and tunnel construction is a key link that restricts the progress of the project. With the successive completion of two key support tunnels, the core construction channel of the project has been fully opened, clearing many obstacles for the efficient construction of the subsequent main project.

Open up key channels

Recently, China Anneng No.3 Bureau Chengdu Branch has completed the construction of the lower level inlet and outlet of the diversion tunnel of the Boluo Hydropower Station on the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, achieving full line connection. This is another major milestone achievement of the project after the completion of the construction support tunnel of the sluice chamber. It has completely opened up the key construction channels for the middle and lower layers of the inlet and outlet of the diversion tunnel, laying a solid foundation for the large-scale excavation and construction of the main tunnel of the diversion tunnel. As a key project of the clean energy base in the upper reaches of the Jinsha River, the diversion tunnel of the Boluo Hydropower Station is the core control engineering of the power station construction. The two branch tunnels that are connected this time undertake important tasks such as slag removal from the main tunnel, equipment entry, and building material transportation, and are the core transportation lifeline of the main tunnel construction.
