In the morning of August 10, the mist at the foot of Mount Taishan Mountain was still there. The chief engineer of Taifei Railway Project of China Railway 10th Bureau Electric Service Company was relieved by the newly laid communication optical cable junction box. This main communication artery, which extends westward from Mount Taishan Station to Hutun Station, has finally been fully connected at this moment after months of fierce fighting. For all participants, this is not only a critical milestone in the project, but also means that we are one step closer to the goal of suspending construction by the end of August.
The expansion and renovation project of Taifei Railway is a key upgrading project in the railway development plan of Shandong Province, and it is also the core railway transportation channel in the western Shandong region. The total length of the line is 49.741 km, leading from Mount Taishan Station of Beijing Shanghai Railway, passing through the west of Tai'an City and the north of Feicheng City. The renovation of this railway has strategic significance for improving the regional road network and optimizing the layout of existing railway transportation capacity. This construction covers three major disciplines: communication, signal, and power, involving complex content, intensive cross operation, and extremely high safety control standards.

Breaking through difficulties in business line construction
Since the start of the campaign, the project team has faced far more complex challenges than expected. The construction safety risk of the business line is high, and the underground pipelines are as complex as spider webs, with multiple professions interfering with each other greatly, and transportation conditions are restricted everywhere.
The project team holds daily construction review meetings without hesitation, sifting through risk points one by one, listing response measures one by one, making construction plans precise to the hour, and assigning responsibility to individuals. When encountering areas with unclear distribution of underground pipelines, they organized dedicated personnel to conduct section by section investigation and detection, and established a detailed pipeline ledger to ensure zero damage to existing equipment. In areas with intensive cross disciplinary operations, implement zoning operations, staggered construction, and dedicated personnel stationed for coordination to minimize mutual interference.
As of now, the three electrical specialties have completed 249 Level III key construction projects for business lines and 1358 projects for adjacent business lines. The project department has established 5 operation teams, with more than 20 technical personnel and over 370 on-site operators, and the project milestones are steadily advancing.
Three major majors advancing simultaneously
The communication major has completed the installation of communication equipment for 6 stations and the assembly of 6 communication towers, laying the foundation for the full line connection of the communication channel from Tai'an to Hutun, as well as the testing of interval optical transmission and business channels. The signal discipline has gone through five transition constructions, and has fully promoted all interlocking tests of Mount Taishan Station and Mount Taishan Centralized Control Center. The power profession has completed 7 power outage reconstruction constructions, fully ensuring the power transmission and opening during the shutdown period.

The newly established 400M digital wireless train dispatching system in the communication major is the first application in the railway renovation of Jinan Bureau. It requires linkage with the progress of the Jiaoxin Railway project to complete equipment access and system reverse connection, with extremely high technical requirements. The signal profession has 6502 electrical centralization, color light electric lock, and old equipment that need to be transformed synchronously at once, making construction organization extremely difficult. The transformation of Mount Taishan substation of electric power specialty adopts temporary box transformer for transitional power supply, and the construction protection requirements of existing equipment are strict.
Heavy duty railway is ready to go
After the completion of the project, the 5 stations along the line will be comprehensively upgraded to meet the traffic demand of heavy-duty trains of 5000 tons and above. This means that the interval transportation capacity of the Taifei Railway will be significantly improved, the traffic efficiency of the Beijing Shanghai Railway mainline will be further released, the existing railway operation potential will be fully activated, and the regional railway productivity layout will be optimized.keywords:Engineering infrastructure
