On August 11, 2026, Ambassador to Libya Ma Xuliang paid a visit to the Chairman of the Libyan National Supreme Council, Takara. Ambassador Ma Xuliang stated that China and Libya have stable political mutual trust and strong economic complementarity.

China is willing to actively strive to create favorable conditions for pragmatic cooperation between the two countries, promote the exchange of governance experience and personnel exchanges between the two countries, and advance the stable and far-reaching strategic partnership between China and Libya. Chairman Takara stated that Libya and China have a historical friendship. He himself has visited China and left a good impression. The strategic position of Li is important, and Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and develop in Li.
