As far away as Zimbabwe in Africa, with the successful acquisition of the environmental permit certificate, the construction of the 100000 ton annual lithium sulfate project by China Resources has officially begun. All preliminary preparations have been completed and the construction team has entered the site. This overseas lithium salt processing plant is steadily advancing towards its goal of being put into operation by mid-2027.

The cost advantage is highlighted
The project has been implemented in Zimbabwe, where deep processing of lithium resources can be carried out on-site without the need for long-distance transportation of ore and intermediate products. Logistics costs can be reduced by up to 5/6. Relying on local industrial policies, the export of lithium sulfate deep processing products enjoys policy dividends. Compared to raw ore, the overall tax burden of the project is expected to be reduced by more than 10%. Double cost reduction in logistics and taxation effectively enhances project profitability and risk resistance, laying a solid foundation for long-term operation. Deep cultivation of overseas industries
This project is a key part of China National Mining Corporation's global new energy layout, which will promote the high-value utilization of local lithium resources. All subcontractors for civil engineering and installation have entered the site, and the on-site construction organization system has been established. The civil engineering, equipment installation, and supporting projects will be gradually launched, with a plan to be completed and put into operation by mid-2027. We will strictly adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards in the project construction, practice the ESG green development concept, drive local industrial upgrading, deepen practical cooperation in the field of mineral resources between China and Tianjin, and thus enter a new stage of overseas lithium resource development for the enterprise.Editor/Min Jing
