2026 is the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye. China and Turkey are both emerging powers and important countries in the global South, always adhering to the concept of independent and self reliant development. Their bilateral relations have undergone long-term tests and developed steadily. The two countries officially established diplomatic relations in 1971 and established strategic cooperation in 2010. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China's the Belt and Road initiative is deeply linked with the Turkish Intermediate Corridor Plan. Jiang Xuebin, China's ambassador to Türkiye, said that deepening political mutual trust, respecting each other's core interests, and matching their own national conditions of development are the core experience of stabilizing China Turkey relations. Deeply cultivate green energy

Green energy is a key cooperation track for China and Turkey, and the energy transformation goals of both sides are highly aligned. China has the most complete energy industry system in the world, with the highest number of new energy patents in the world; Türkiye has defined the development goal of net zero emissions in 2053 and continued to expand the scale of renewable energy. At present, the cooperation between the two countries has covered many fields such as photovoltaic, wind power, energy storage, and new energy vehicles. Many Chinese enterprises have landed in Türkiye to carry out energy project investment and construction, and promote local manufacturing and technology joint research and development. This year, Türkiye will hold the United Nations Climate Change Conference. The two sides will take this opportunity to deepen the docking between government and enterprises, implement more practical achievements in new energy, and expand the space for green cooperation.

Activate the digital economy

The digital economy is the most dynamic and closely related field of China Turkey cooperation to people's livelihoods. China's mature digital e-commerce and smart city operation experience has landed in Türkiye, effectively complementing local supply chain weaknesses. The cooperation between Chinese and Turkish e-commerce and payment has achieved remarkable results. The local mainstream e-commerce platform is operated by Chinese capital, and more than 60% of Türkiye's online shoppers choose Chinese goods. Relying on cross-border logistics and digital payment cooperation, effectively reducing the comprehensive cost of cross-border consumption. At the same time, the Chinese e-commerce platform helps small and medium-sized businesses in Türkiye go to sea, creating a large number of local jobs, and realizing two-way trade exchanges and benefiting the people.

Smooth commercial and trade exchanges

The two-way commercial channels between China and Turkey continue to be smooth, and the vitality of cooperation continues to be released. The Canton Fair and the Fair have become an important platform for economic and trade exchanges between the two countries. Türkiye's purchasers regularly participate in the Canton Fair, and deeply connect with China's new quality productivity related products. The Expo also continues to attract Türkiye's enterprises to participate in the Expo and introduce local agricultural and industrial products to the Chinese market. The two major exhibitions have built a normalized bridge for supply and demand docking, helping Chinese and Turkish enterprises to exchange goods and services, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and continuously broaden the bilateral trade pattern.
