On August 10, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming paid a visit to Nepalese Prime Minister Barendra and exchanged views on China Nepal relations, mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and issues of common concern.

Balendra stated that Nepal attaches great importance to the traditional friendship between Nepal and China, and is willing to work together with China to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, promote the continuous development of bilateral relations, and better benefit the people of both countries.
