Accelerate the development of projects worth billions of yuan
The total investment of Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical Phase II project is 176 billion yuan, which is the largest single chemical project approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in one go since its establishment. After completion, it is expected that the annual output value will exceed 100 billion yuan. The current Phase II Phase I project, with an investment of 61.955 billion yuan, is the first move of the entire Phase II project.
The overall project is centered around coal quality utilization technology, integrating coal pyrolysis, coal tar hydrogenation, coke gasification, and downstream deep processing technologies to innovate the coal to aromatics technology path. By deeply coupling aromatic hydrocarbons and olefins to extend the industrial chain, a total of 45 high-end chemical products can be produced in four categories: high value-added materials, battery electrolyte solvents, degradable materials, and special oil products. From a piece of coal to high-end new materials, the added value of this industry chain can increase several times or even more than ten times.

Green and efficiency breakthroughs
Beyond its scale, another hallmark of this super factory is its green color. The project will simultaneously apply green hydrogen technology and 3GW new energy power generation to establish a demonstration model of integrated chemical thermal and electric power generation. Its energy consumption and carbon emission indicators are both at the leading level in the industry, reducing carbon emissions by more than 30% compared to similar projects.
This carbon reduction rate did not come out of thin air. The technology of coal classification and utilization itself is more efficient than traditional coal chemical pathways - first pyrolyzing and extracting coal tar, and then gasifying semi coke to achieve the graded and graded cascade utilization of coal. The significant reduction of carbon emissions is a natural result of the combination of green hydrogen substitution and direct power supply from new energy sources. Looking back on the construction process: On January 18th of this year, the framework was completed with a 36 meter elevation civil engineering roof, 23 days ahead of schedule; After entering the stage of steel structure installation, the construction pace further accelerated, and the final topping out was achieved 72 days ahead of schedule. As of now, the excavation of 19519 cubic meters of soil has been completed with a completion rate of 100%; 2022 tons of steel reinforcement binding, with a completion rate of 98.54%; 12361 cubic meters of concrete were poured, with a completion rate of 99.74%; Steel structure installation of 5400 tons, completion rate of 93.90%.
