The global energy industry is accelerating its iteration towards digitalization and intelligence. In order to adapt to the trend of technological change and respond to the cooperation needs of countries, the National Energy Administration has set up a new special working group on artificial intelligence plus energy, which injects digital momentum into multilateral energy cooperation along the the Belt and Road and helps countries work together to promote the upgrading of the energy industry.

Improve the cooperation framework
Since the establishment of the the Belt and Road Energy Partnership Cooperation Network in 2021, seven professional working groups have been set up, bringing together more than 80 various institutions, and continuing to deepen global energy governance and project cooperation. The addition of an artificial intelligence and energy working group this time further enriches the cooperation system, focuses on the research and development of intelligent energy technology and industrial exchanges, and promotes the advancement of multilateral energy cooperation towards diversified and professional directions.

Clarify the four major directions
The new working group has identified four core tasks, focusing on policy exchange, technical cooperation, standard collaboration, and capacity building. All parties will regularly share their experience in energy transformation and computing power development, tackle core technologies such as new energy forecasting and energy storage regulation, unify digital energy industry standards, and carry out cross-border talent training to comprehensively consolidate the foundation of intelligent cooperation. Establish a sound operational mechanism
The working group absorbs multiple entities such as domestic and foreign enterprises, research institutes, and international organizations, and implements an operational model of the leading unit taking the lead and members collaborating and cooperating.
