On the morning of August 24th, Li Qiang met with King Abdullah II of Jordan, who was on a state visit to China, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.   Next year, China and Jordan will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. China is willing to work with Jordan to promote traditional friendship, enhance political mutual trust, firmly support each other on issues related to each other's core interests, continuously deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and move forward hand in hand on the road to modernization.

Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to strengthen development docking with Jordan, promote high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", promote bilateral trade expansion and quality improvement, expand scientific and technological and industrial innovation cooperation in green energy, electric vehicles, digital economy, etc., and achieve more practical results to better benefit the two peoples. Both China and Jordan have a long history and culture. Both sides need to strengthen cultural exchanges and mutual learning, deepen cooperation in tourism, youth, media, and local areas, and continuously enhance mutual understanding and friendship among citizens. In recent times, the situation in the Middle East has been fluctuating, and China is willing to work with Jordan and other relevant parties to make unremitting efforts to promote the cooling down of the situation in the Middle East and achieve long-term peace and stability. We hope that the contracting parties will continue to play an important role in the development of China Arab relations, promote collective cooperation between China and Arab countries to a new level, and build a higher-level China Arab community with a shared future.

Abdullah II stated that China is an important strategic partner of Jordan. The current development momentum of bilateral relations is good, and cooperation in various fields continues to deepen. The contracting party firmly adheres to the One China policy and believes that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China's territory. The Jordanian side is willing to take next year's celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges at all levels with China, promote mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, mining, tourism and other fields, and explore renewable energy. We look forward to working together with China to push the Arab Chinese relations to a new level.
