The Israeli super large subway project has reached a critical transformation node and officially started the pre bidding process for vehicle and system integration. The billion dollar procurement scale attracts global enterprises to compete, which will comprehensively upgrade the intelligence level of local rail transit and empower urban economic development.

Billion dollar bidding heavy landing

On August 24, 2026, the Israel Metropolitan Rail Transit Corporation launched the pre qualification for the second phase of the Tel Aviv Metro tender, with a total scale of approximately 30 billion shekels, equivalent to 10.07 billion US dollars. The deadline for document submission is January 18, 2027. This bidding covers the entire chain of subway vehicle procurement, signal control system, power supply and energy, station decoration, and system integration and operation, with a focus on high-end intelligent rail transit construction.

Leading in intelligent technology standards

The subway project will adopt GOA4 level fully autonomous driving technology to achieve full intelligent autonomous driving and system coordinated operation, greatly improving operational safety and efficiency. Strict network information security standards are set for project synchronization, requiring the winning bidder to collaborate with local security companies in Israel and introduce advanced global rail transit technology and construction standards. Global enterprises actively participate

The first phase of infrastructure bidding for the project has received high international attention, with a scale of approximately 65 billion shekels, equivalent to 21.83 billion US dollars. It has attracted 33 domestic and foreign companies to participate in the application, covering enterprises from China, India, the United States, and Europe. The entire subway is planned to have three lines, with a total length of 150 kilometers and 109 stations and 4 vehicle depots.
