Recently, a freight train loaded with coal sounded its horn and left the park, marking the opening of the Yumen Public Railway Intermodal Intelligent Logistics Park Railway Dedicated Line. The newly-built railway on the Gobi Desert embodies the sweat of the builders who worked day and night to overcome multiple tests such as sandstorms and temperature differences. This major supporting railway project of the provincial railway has finally reached an important moment of opening and operation.

Gobi construction line

This dedicated line is the core supporting project of Yumen Economic Development Zone Comprehensive Energy Port, with a total length of 10.1 kilometers for the main line, 2.08 kilometers for the connecting line, and a designed speed of 60 kilometers per hour. It covers various construction contents such as roadbed, bridge, culvert, and track station yard renovation. The line is connected to the Lanxin Railway mainline, and the construction section of the project's operating line is long, with numerous cross operations. The large desert sandstorm and the significant temperature difference between day and night pose numerous challenges to on-site safety and quality control.

Strictly observe construction

The project implements safety risk classification control, develops special plans for construction on adjacent business lines, implements a skylight point operation system, implements one person, one machine dedicated protection, and real-time joint control with on-site and station personnel to ensure the safety and controllability of the entire construction process. On site implementation of the three inspection system and first article recognition system, establishment of a full process quality traceability system, adherence to sample guidance in roadbed construction, optimization of concrete mix ratio, use of moisturizing cover combined with regular spraying for maintenance in the Gobi environment, and achieve a 100% acceptance rate for each sub project.
