At the Jilong debris flow disaster site in Shigatse, Xizang, the G216 National Highway was interrupted due to the impact of the debris flow disaster, which seriously hindered the progress of rescue work.
On August 29, 2026, the Chinese safety engineering team dispatched by the Ministry of Emergency Management is continuing to carry out road access operations. It is reported that China Aneng has invested 60 technical and skilled backbone personnel, mobilized 28 sets of engineering rescue equipment such as excavators and loaders, and is making every effort to carry out emergency operations on the damaged section of G216 National Highway, so that subsequent personnel and large machinery can enter and accelerate rescue efforts. Rescue personnel scientifically assess disaster risks, monitor surrounding dangerous situations in real time, and provide guarantees for the efficient implementation of subsequent emergency response work.

According to on-site rescue personnel, after days of continuous road access operations by multiple engineering rescue forces, 2.5 kilometers of roads have been cleared, and there is still 1.8 kilometers to Jilong Port.Editor/Cheng Liting
