18 Sino‑Japanese Routes Suspended in August; 1120 Flights to Japan Axed

According to the latest statistics of flight steward DAST, the capacity of the route between August and Japan in the second half of the summer vacation significantly contracted. A total of 18 routes between China and Japan cancelled all flights in that month, and 1120 flights from Chinese Mainland to Japan were cancelled in the whole month, with a cancellation rate of 30.1%. As a popular summer outbound travel route, multiple routes have been suspended for the entire month, causing inconvenience to passengers planning to travel. 

Many passengers are facing situations such as rescheduling or transferring across cities. Compared to the data in July, the number of cancelled flights in August has slightly decreased, but the overall cancellation rate remains at a high level of 30%. The current situation of insufficient capacity during the summer season on Sino Japanese routes is still prominent.Editor/Min Jing
