Guoke OptiCore Closes Series B+ Round to Advance Silicon‑Photonic Chip Innovation

Recently, Guoke OptiCore announced the completion of a B+round financing of hundreds of millions of RMB. This round of financing is led by Sichuan Sci Tech Innovation Investment Group, followed by Hangzhou Kaitai Capital, SDSTI and other institutions, fully demonstrating the high recognition of the capital market for the silicon optical chip track and Guoke OptiCore core technology value.

The funds raised in this round will be mainly used for the development of new products such as next-generation single wave 400Gbps silicon optical chips, 1.6T/3.2T silicon optical detector chips, 3.2T/6.4T NPO/CPO, OIO chips, as well as investment in the expansion of the subsidiary (sub brand: Stellar Photonics) and the construction plan of overseas delivery centers, laying a solid foundation for the company's large-scale growth in the AI computing power optical interconnect wave.

AI driven intergenerational transition of optical interconnection, silicon light enters golden development period

Currently, generative AI represented by large models is driving the global computing infrastructure into a period of large-scale expansion. AI clusters have put forward unprecedented bandwidth and power requirements for high-speed interconnection across chips, nodes, and cabinets. Optical modules are rapidly evolving from 800G to 1.6T and even 3.2T generations, and traditional discrete optical device solutions are approaching physical limits in terms of integration, power consumption, cost, and mass production consistency.

The products have been validated and shipped in bulk to multiple clients, while providing a scalable silicon optical single channel 400Gbps technology route, continuously leading the industry's intergenerational evolution. Guoke OptiCore will showcase the latest achievements of a single wave 400Gbps silicon optical modulator at the Shenzhen Optical Expo in September 2026. The modulator bandwidth has reached 85GHz, and the insertion loss of a 3.2T silicon optical chip is less than 12dB (1/4 structure, including coupling loss). All of them will be produced using Fab mass production technology, exploring a path for the production of single wave 400G silicon optical light.

Strategic layout of next-generation products, building global delivery capabilities

Guoke OptiCore has completed a forward-looking technology and capacity layout in response to the trend of AI computing infrastructure evolving towards the 3.2T generation. This round of financing will focus on three strategic directions:

Firstly, accelerate the development of the next generation product matrix. The company will make every effort to promote the development of single wave 400Gbps silicon optical chips, 1.6T/3.2T silicon optical detector chips, 3.2T/6.4T NPO/CPO, OIO chips and other new products, build a complete silicon optical chip product matrix covering "emission reception co packaging", seize the high ground of 3.2T intergenerational technology, and deeply participate in the industrial ecosystem construction of CPO/OIO and other next-generation optical interconnect architectures.

Secondly, expand production at Chengdu Shutong Base. The company will continue to increase investment in the expansion of its Chengdu Shutong subsidiary (sub brand: Stellar Photonics), expand wafer production capacity and testing capabilities, and build a large-scale production base for the Shutong market, providing sufficient capacity guarantee for the high-speed growth needs of AI data center customers.

Thirdly, plan and construct an overseas delivery center. Faced with the increasing demand for nearby delivery and rapid response from global AI computing customers, the company will establish an overseas delivery center, build localized technical support, testing and verification, and supply chain collaboration capabilities, comprehensively enhance the delivery certainty of global customers, and accelerate the landing of internationalization strategies.

Through the three in one layout of "headquarters research and development+Chengdu mass production+overseas delivery", Guoke OptiCore will achieve a complete closed-loop from chip research and development to global scale monthly million level chip production capacity delivery.
