The Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, located around Cairo, Egypt, has entered a new stage of development. China and Egypt have officially finalized the third phase expansion plan and anchored four key tracks. Based on the existing industrial foundation, the park promotes the transformation of scattered factories into complete industrial clusters, bringing new opportunities and practical tests for overseas enterprises.

Industrial Agglomeration
As of the end of June 2026, more than 200 enterprises have settled in the China Egypt Teda Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, with a cumulative investment of over 4.7 billion US dollars and the creation of over 10000 job opportunities. The third phase expansion targets the four major directions of new energy vehicles, textiles, and chemical fibers, and there is strong coordination among various industries. The park has already landed ATUM solar energy complex, textile and tire related projects, laying the foundation for upstream and downstream extension. After the formation of the cluster, the continuous demand for storage and testing equipment operation and maintenance will continue to be released, and enterprises with local service capabilities are more likely to seize the market.

Plan to go out to sea
Egypt has outstanding geographical advantages and its market radiates to the local regions of Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. While the EU's relevant free trade policies bring opportunities, they also impose strict requirements on product origin certification. The details of the supporting facilities for public works within the scope of the third phase of land have not yet been announced to the public, and different types of enterprises need to have differentiated layouts. Keywords: China Egypt economic and trade cooperation, overseas industrial parks

Equipment service providers can prioritize connecting with local partners to prepare plan reserves, while heavy asset manufacturing enterprises need to combine target markets and comprehensively consider land energy procurement rules before implementing investment decisions. With the gradual implementation of the third phase plan, this overseas park will continue to unleash the enormous potential of China Africa capacity cooperation.Editor/Min Jing
