The service data of China's satellite navigation and positioning reference station network has officially started authorized operation, which also means that the service data of the national Beidou reference station network has been shared and opened to the society for the first time.

The Ministry of Natural Resources stated that this authorized operation is open to key industries and market entities in accordance with the principles of safety, controllability, high quality, and efficiency, enabling the compliant circulation of public data from benchmark stations and fully unleashing the economic and social value of spatiotemporal data elements.

Through this sharing and opening up, the high-precision data service scenarios of Beidou have been effectively expanded, such as in areas such as autonomous driving, low altitude economy, urban renewal, and refined governance.

The satellite navigation positioning reference station is the ground infrastructure for Beidou to achieve high-precision positioning services. The latest data shows that the current network of Beidou benchmark stations in China has expanded to 7569 benchmark stations, covering the whole country and providing stable and accurate spatiotemporal information support for multiple fields such as national land planning, disaster warning, engineering construction, and urban governance. It is reported that the shared and open Beidou benchmark station network service data has completed the unified registration of national public data resources and has the basic conditions for compliant circulation and market-oriented development.
