On September 7, 2026, Ambassador Xiang Bo held a discussion with scholars from major think tanks in Iraq, focusing on promoting important policy proposals put forward by Chinese leaders during their attendance at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Bishkek Summit and visit to Egypt.

I would like to express to the ambassador that I have put forward a four point initiative to promote common security in the Middle East, and once again contribute to the long-term stability of the overall situation in the Middle East through the Chinese solution. The global governance initiative has been transformed from concept to practice in the past year. China advocates promoting an equal and orderly multipolarization of the world and achieving more just and reasonable global governance.

Iraqi scholars highly recognize China's development philosophy and path, appreciate the series of important policy proposals put forward by China, and are willing to further strengthen academic dialogue, exchange and mutual learning with China.Editor/Min Jing
