On September 7th, Ambassador Zhao Deyong met with Prime Minister Ouedraogo of Burkina Faso, and the two sides exchanged in-depth views on practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
Ambassador Zhao briefly reviewed the development achievements of bilateral relations in the eight years since the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Burundi, and expressed that China was willing to work with Burundi to implement the outcomes of the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, promote the implementation of the zero tariff policy, share the development opportunities of Chinese path to modernization, exchange and learn from each other's experience in governance, and benefit the people of both countries.
Prime Minister Vedelaogo positively evaluated the relationship between the two countries, stating that Burkina Faso regards China as an important strategic partner and will continue to adhere to the One China principle. Wei Zan appreciates the four major global initiatives proposed by China, and the Bulgarian side is willing to actively participate in the construction of the "the Belt and Road" to improve its own development capacity.
