Recently, China Construction Middle East Company officially signed a construction contract with Dubai Holdings Group, winning a total value of 5 billion dirhams, approximately 1.36 billion US dollars, equivalent to approximately 9.1 billion RMB. This is the largest single construction contract awarded by Dubai Holdings Group since its establishment. The project is divided into two major sections, located on the same plot in the core business district of Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, adjacent to the Dubai International Financial Centre, the Burj Khalifa, and the Museum of the Future. One is the new headquarters building of Dubai Holdings, with a circular design, which will be put into use in 2029; The other one is the Jumeirah Emirates Tower high-end residential project, consisting of two towers and 754 branded residences, to be delivered by 2030.

The largest single contract with a royal background

Dubai Holdings can be understood as a city investment and investment group with a royal background in Dubai. Its business contributes about 30% of Dubai's GDP and is a core player in Dubai's urban development. The weight of this large order is like the most powerful and influential family in the local area contracting their ancestral home and commercial building to a single enterprise for construction. For China Construction Middle East, this is not only a breakthrough in contract amount, but also a high recognition from the Dubai royal family and government of China Construction Middle East's performance strength and brand influence. The project is located in the core high-end business district of Dubai, with two buildings belonging to the same plot of land. In the future, it will become the global headquarters of Dubai Holding Group.

New achievements of veterans in the Middle East market

China Construction Middle East entered the UAE in 2003 and delivered over 110 major projects, making it a true veteran of the Middle East market. In recent years, we have won consecutive bids for projects such as Blue Water Embankment, Zabille Adris, Jumeirah Golf, Dubai Rainwater Network, and UAE High Speed Rail. The Habutur super high-rise is 355.9 meters high, the world's largest single unit apartment, and also built by China Construction. The main steel structure will be topped out in April 2026. China State Construction Corporation signed a new contract worth 182.1 billion yuan overseas in the first half of 2026. The overseas growth rate is expected to reach 15% in 2025, and will skyrocket to 45% in the first half of 2026. The accelerator has been pressed to the bottom. The ENR international contractor ranking is still 6th in the world. In the Middle East, major projects such as Kuwait's sewage treatment plant worth 22.4 billion yuan and the UAE high-speed railway are still receiving revenue. Entrance ticket to the high-end market

This order of 9.1 billion is not just about money, it is a ticket to the high-end market. In the future, if there are any core landmarks in Dubai, the first contractor that comes to mind may be China Construction Middle East. And this type of project can drive Chinese standards, Chinese supply chains, and Chinese management teams to go global together, which is a real overseas increment for the industry. From the Blue Water Embankment to the Habur Tower, from the Dubai Rainwater Network to the UAE High Speed Rail, China Construction Middle East is setting the benchmark for Chinese construction in the core business district of Dubai with its sustained ability to fulfill high-end project contracts.Editor/Gao Xue
