Russia is accelerating the process of self-sufficiency in high-speed rail equipment. Local enterprises have successfully developed high-speed rail dedicated air conditioning systems, passed rigorous testing across all dimensions, and completed the first batch of deliveries, filling the gaps in domestic high-speed train supporting facilities.

Trax Enterprise, a subsidiary of KSK Group in Moscow Oblast, has successfully completed the manufacturing and preliminary testing of the first batch of air conditioning systems for Russian high-speed trains, and has officially delivered them to Ural Locomotive Works. They will be assembled on Russia's first domestically produced high-speed train test car to serve the Moscow Saint Petersburg high-speed railway line.

This delivery includes 13 sets of passenger cabin air conditioning units and 4 sets of driver's cabin air conditioning units. The equipment has passed multiple tests such as mechanical strength, electromagnetic compatibility, and energy consumption size, and can operate stably in environments ranging from minus 50 degrees Celsius to above 50 degrees Celsius. It can withstand a maximum working temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. The equipment is adapted to the operating conditions of high-speed trains with a speed of 400 kilometers per hour, and has functions of temperature regulation, air disinfection, and pressure compensation, which are in line with the aerodynamic design of the train. It is reported that the company will deliver an additional 23 sets of related equipment by the end of 2026.Editor/Min Jing
