For a long time, China's high-end polyolefin materials have been constrained by overseas technological barriers, and the development of related industries has been restricted. Recently, domestic enterprises have broken through core processes and built the world's first industrial facility, achieving independent mass production of key materials.

The world's first industrial plant for over ten thousand ton hyperbranched polyolefin elastomers, located in Longyou County, Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, has successfully started operation and the first batch of qualified products has been successfully produced. This project is a phase one project with an annual output of 30000 tons. It relies on independent research and development of efficient catalysts to produce H-POE from a single ethylene raw material, without relying on scarce raw materials and high-end catalysts. It has the advantages of low investment, low energy consumption, and high cost-effectiveness, completely breaking the monopoly of overseas technology and filling the global industrial technology gap.
This technology has undergone many years of iteration, with small-scale testing completed in 2022, a thousand ton scale pilot plant built and operating stably in 2023, and pilot testing and process safety demonstration completed in 2024. During the same period, the domestic POR polyolefin elastomer project accelerated its landing, and multiple independent core technologies were put into operation, comprehensively promoting the upgrading and breakthrough of China's high-end polyolefin industry.Editor/Min Jing
