On the afternoon of September 20, 2026, a new milestone was added to this turnaround: Mingyang Group and the People's Government of Shaoguan City held a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation framework agreement for the billion level national green intelligent computing power base project. In the past four years, it has become the largest intelligent computing power gathering area in South China, with a signed order of 3.2GW, which will leverage the market of over 50 billion yuan in electromechanical equipment and over 500 billion yuan in servers. More importantly, the local government is vigorously promoting the coordination of computing and electricity, promoting the precise matching of green power supply and computing load, and the integrated development of source, grid, load, and storage, laying a solid energy foundation for the green and low-carbon upgrading of the computing industry. Chen Shaorong stated that this signing will undoubtedly create a smart computing city based in Shaoguan, serving the bay area, connecting the whole country, and radiating to Southeast Asia, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of the smart computing industry and digital economy.

According to the agreement, both parties will leverage Shaoguan's abundant new energy resources to jointly build a GW level green intelligent computing power demonstration base that integrates computing power production, computing power services, technology research and development, industrial incubation, talent cultivation, and ecological aggregation, exploring a new path for the coordinated and integrated development of computing power. Zhang Chuanwei stated that Shaoguan possesses high-quality wind and solar new energy resources, with unique advantages of on-site development and nearby consumption of green electricity. The clustering effect of the computing power industry is prominent, which is highly compatible with the strategic layout of Mingyang's new energy and digital economy dual main businesses, with complementary advantages and two-way empowerment. Shaoguan is not the first son left by Mingyang. On August 30th, Mingyang Group signed a cooperation agreement with Qingyang City, Gansu Province for the investment and development of a GW level intelligent computing power center project. Based on the advantages of Qingyang as a national computing power hub and Mingyang's full industry chain capabilities in new energy, both parties will jointly promote the collaborative innovation practice of computing and electricity, assist in the construction of China's computing valley and smart Qingyang, and cultivate new quality productivity for the integrated development of digital economy and new energy. Earlier, Mingyang also connected the application path from green power modules to green computing power modules by directly supplying the green electricity generated by wind power to the data center through the source network load storage integration project in Chabei, Zhangjiakou. Within a month, Mingyang's new energy and intelligent computing map will extend from the northwest Gobi to the mountainous areas of southern China.
