On September 21, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Laos held a reception for the 77th anniversary of the National Day. More than 500 people attended, including members of the Political Bureau of the Lao Party Central Committee and Executive Secretary of the Central Secretariat, Wee Lai, Director of the Central Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Kang Liang, Secretary of the Central Secretariat and Acting Chairman of the National Assembly, Shun Tong, Minister of Public Security Wan Tong, and more than ten ministers and representatives of overseas Chinese.

Ambassador Fang Hong delivered a speech introducing China's development achievements and the achievements of China Laos cooperation, emphasizing that under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, China is comprehensively promoting the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation. China is willing to work with Laos to fully implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, promote the construction of an all-weather China Laos community with a shared future in the new era, and jointly implement the four major global initiatives.

Guests visited themed exhibition areas such as the Four Global Initiatives, China's New Quality Productivity, and Chinese Culture, and read Volume 5 of "Xi Jinping Talks on Governance" to experience China's high-tech products.
