On the shore of the Caspian Sea, in the Gobi Desert outside Baku, 200000 solar panels are laid out like silver arrays in the distance. With the grid connection ceremony held, this photovoltaic power station invested and constructed by Chinese enterprise Huantai Energy has officially been connected to the grid, adding a touch of Chinese brilliance to Azerbaijan's energy landscape.

Gobi Silver Array Completed

The Gobustan 100 MW photovoltaic power plant project is located in the Galadag district, consisting of approximately 200000 solar panels and supporting the construction of one 110 kV substation. The project is invested and constructed by Huantai Energy Co., Ltd. Recently, a grid connection ceremony was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, marking the official operation of this large-scale photovoltaic project. Reduce carbon emissions and save gas

After the project is put into operation, it is expected to generate approximately 200 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, saving about 45 million cubic meters of natural gas consumption and reducing carbon emissions by about 97000 tons.
