On October 14, 2026, two tables facing the future of shipping were placed together in the conference room. Fu Xuyin, former Deputy Minister of Transport, walked into CEEC with the mission of the International Green Shipping Corridor Alliance, sitting opposite Chairman Ni Zhen. From energy transformation to shipping carbon reduction, a cooperation thread that twisted the industry chain into a rope gradually became clear.

Co draw corridor blueprint
Fu Xuyin thanked CEEC for participating in the alliance construction and introduced the development of the alliance. The alliance was initiated by the Ministry of Transport and covers upstream and downstream industrial chains such as port and shipping enterprises, energy enterprises, and shipping finance related institutions. Its aim is to promote global green shipping cooperation, promote sustainable shipping development, and contribute to the implementation of global development initiatives. He stated that the Ministry of Transport attaches great importance to the construction of the alliance and hopes that both sides can work together to gather and integrate resources from upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, enhance the international influence and comprehensive service capabilities of the alliance, and jointly create a safer, more efficient, and greener global shipping ecosystem.

Striving for low-carbon development through dual track collaboration
Ni Zhen thanked the Ministry of Transport, China International Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center, and the Alliance for their care, support, and assistance to CEEC, and introduced CEEC's reform, development, and service to the national transportation industry. He pointed out that CEEC has closely integrated the goals of building a strong transportation country, reducing emissions in the transportation sector, and building a new energy system, and has carried out a series of effective explorations and practices in the transformation of green, intelligent, and integrated transportation. He stated that building a new type of transportation energy system is a key path to implementing the direction of "One Network, Four Modernizations" in transportation during the 15th Five Year Plan period. CEEC will focus on two technological routes: sustainable transportation electrification and sustainable fuel substitution, and make efforts in direction guidance, industrial control, technological breakthroughs, and project demonstration to comprehensively serve the low-carbon transformation of the transportation industry. Before the discussion, Fu Xuyin and his delegation visited the Enterprise Intelligence Exhibition Hall accompanied by Ni Zhen. Zhou Xiaoneng, Chief Economist and General Manager of the Market Development Department of CEEC, Liu Peng, Director of the International Center of the Ministry of Transport, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Alliance, as well as heads of relevant departments and units from both sides, participated in the research. With the joint efforts of government and enterprises, a greener global shipping corridor is moving from blueprint to reality.Editor/Min Jing
