On September 16, 2026, in the main port area of Guiyang International Land Port, the sound of lifting equipment taking off and landing was more intense than usual. As the last container landed steadily in the cargo space, the daily loading volume was fixed at 200 vehicles, which directly raised the historical record since the opening of the port by 47%. This is also the fifth time this year that the port area has broken the daily loading peak.

Efficiency leap with five consecutive breakthroughs

Starting from the first encounter with 140 vehicles on July 15th, the port area completed four stepped crossings on July 25th, 31st, and September 3rd, and finally reached a new height of 200 vehicles on September 16th. Compared to the benchmark record of 136 vehicles before July, the 47% increase is due to a systematic upgrade of the entire process operation capability.

In July 2026, the container throughput of the port area reached 7954 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 166.91%. The two core indicators of railway arrivals and departures, as well as the total amount of goods arrivals and departures, also set new records in a single month since the opening of the port. The improvement of hub aggregation and radiation capabilities has already been evident in daily operations.

Multi party collaboration to build a solid operational foundation

Faced with the scheduling and safety pressures brought about by the continuous increase in workload, the port actively collaborates with the railway department, Guiyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and cooperative customers to synchronize the real-time arrival and departure of goods and dynamically adjust the layout of container cargo positions. A series of measures, including regular maintenance of special equipment, flexible allocation of loading and unloading forces, and refinement of key operational standards, have strengthened the bottom line of safety production and maximized overall operational efficiency.

The port area has also built combined ports with seven coastal ports including Guangzhou Port and Beibu Gulf Port, reducing the overall customs clearance time by 50%, saving about 2000 yuan in operating costs per container port, and shortening logistics transportation time by 3 to 5 days, paving a smoother channel for Guizhou goods to go abroad.
