In a multi brand automobile factory in Almaty, the pace of welding, painting, and final assembly is getting closer day by day, and Changan and other Chinese brand models are produced on the same production line. The most urgent thing for the factory is not orders - with Kazakhstan's automobile production increasing by 34.2% year-on-year in the first nine months of this year, there is an increasing shortage of local technical workers who can understand the three electric systems of new energy vehicles and troubleshoot intelligent faults. It is in this context that the first Chang'an workshop in Central Asian countries landed in Kazakhstan.

New challenges in the workshop
During the signing of the tripartite cooperation memorandum, a delegation from Xinjiang Jiaotong Vocational and Technical University visited the Astana Automobile Company factory and Chang'an Automobile 4S store, conducted on-site visits, and had discussions and exchanges. The factory representative bluntly stated that Kazakhstan's automotive industry is developing rapidly, and the shortage of local technical and skilled talents continues to widen. They hope to learn from China's vocational education experience to solve the talent supply problem. The delegation has gained a comprehensive understanding of the current situation of the local automotive industry, market talent demand, industry job standards, and technological development trends, laying a solid foundation for precise follow-up coordination.

The profound meaning of a three-way handshake
Chang'an Workshop was jointly established by Xinjiang Jiaotong Vocational and Technical University, China Chang'an Automobile Group Co., Ltd., and Satbayev University. It was officially unveiled on October 6th at Satbayev Kazakh National Research and Technology University. The workshop focuses on the joint training of new energy vehicle technology talents, the co construction and sharing of teaching staff, the construction of training bases, and technical skills training. Changan Automobile will bring practical training from the front line of the industry into the classroom and meet local job demands. The local Confucius Institute will also cooperate to carry out Chinese language teaching, break down language barriers, and form a training path for Chinese language foundation and skill empowerment.

The new bridge that opens to the west
Relying on the geographical advantages and transportation related professional characteristics of Xinjiang, this workshop has built an international platform for cooperation, integration of industry and education, and technological exchange in vocational education between China and Kazakhstan, promoting the westward opening of vocational education in Xinjiang and serving the development of Central Asia. In recent years, Xinjiang Jiaotong Vocational and Technical University has continuously expanded the channels for the integration of industry and education in Central Asia, and has carried out more than 10 collaborations in the construction of international professional standards, training of enterprise personnel, and cultivation of international students. This tripartite collaboration further highlights the international educational characteristics of the school based in Xinjiang, serving transportation, and radiating to Central Asia, allowing the curriculum standards and practical training programs of Chinese vocational education to truly grow on the industrial soil of Central Asia.Editor/Yang Meiling
