As the warm breeze of the Indian Ocean blows through the port of Dar es Salaam, a handshake spanning two continents is brewing. From the Anatolian Plateau to the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, Türkiye's business community is looking beyond the Mediterranean Sea to lock in this land full of wild investment. An expedition to rewrite the bilateral economic and trade map has already begun.

The Tanzanian Minister of State for Planning and Investment, Kitila Mkunbo, met with Türkiye's MÜSİAD industrial and commercial delegation, officially issued an invitation for investment to Türkiye's industrial and commercial circles, welcomed to participate in the country's key projects, and worked together to achieve the goal of $1 billion in bilateral trade.
Issue investment invitation
Mkunbo said that Türkiye's friendly cooperation has a solid foundation, and Turkish investment can drive Tanzania's economic development. Tanzania will continue to improve supporting policies to ensure the landing of foreign investment and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Jointly discuss economic and trade cooperation
Several senior officials of Tanzania and the ambassador of Türkiye to Tanzania participated in the talks, and the two sides agreed to implement the consensus and expand private sector investment and trade exchanges. At the same time, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo signed a trade agreement, relying on the Dar es Salaam port to open up cross-border channels. Tanzania attracts foreign investment internally and expands its surrounding markets externally, promoting industrial development in both directions.

Analyze market trends
Türkiye's enterprises will expand their layout and form competition in infrastructure, manufacturing, building materials and other fields, which needs continuous attention. Tanzania has made significant efforts to attract foreign investment, with many favorable outcomes for key projects, resulting in an investment window period. The trade target of US $1 billion confirms the growth potential of the East African market, and MÜSİAD is also an important window to observe Türkiye's investment layout in Africa.Editor/Gong Ziwei
