The warm autumn sun covers the Fangshan freight yard, and containers are orderly positioned in the crane landing gear. The Silk Road trains departing from Beijing International Land Port are steadily heading towards various parts of Asia and Europe, from tentative initial launches to stable scheduled operations. The dense transportation channels are opening up new foreign trade and economic channels for local high-end manufacturing, continuously amplifying the momentum of the capital's opening up to the outside world.

Expanding Routes
The five major ports and five lines outline the development trajectory of Beijing's international trains. On March 19, 2025, the first Central Asia train to Tashkent was successfully launched. On April 20, 2026, the first scheduled Central Asia train departed from Beijing, and on July 1, the scheduled China Europe train from Beijing to Moscow was launched. The trains leave the country through Erenhot, Alataw Pass, Khorgos, Manzhouli and other ports, and reach Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and other places. The number of international trains in Beijing has exceeded 100. Fixed schedules and stable transportation modes allow enterprises to plan production in advance, effectively reducing logistics expenses.

Source upgrade
As the train channels continue to extend, the freight structure is quietly changing. In earlier years, the proportion of smart manufacturing products in Beijing was only 30%. Now, high value-added goods such as integrated circuits, medical equipment, and smart devices have become the main force, and the proportion of high-end products has increased to over 90%. The stable operation of the Silk Road trains has opened up a direct overseas channel for the capital's science and technology innovation manufacturing to reach the Asian and European markets, allowing high-quality domestic high-end products to go abroad faster.
