The Aktau Port on the east coast of the Caspian Sea is a key gateway on the Middle Corridor, and CHEC has once again landed in Aktau, continuing to deepen its cultivation of this Asia Europe logistics hub. This upgrade and renovation will make up for the hardware shortcomings of the port, break through the bottlenecks of intermodal transportation, and inject new impetus into the expansion and efficiency improvement of this cross-border logistics channel.

Upgrade the hardware of the port area

Recently, CHEC won the bid for the modernization and upgrading project of Aktau Port in Kazakhstan. The project includes upgrading the front-end technology of the port, updating the loading and unloading equipment, and renovating the supporting logistics facilities. It is a hub project for improving and expanding the quality of the Trans Caspian International Transport Corridor. After the project is put into operation, it will enhance the loading and unloading capacity of the terminal and container transportation, strengthen the connection between the port, railway and port, and consolidate the foundation of channel operation. This is the third time that CHEC has laid out a project in Aktau. Previously, the Aktau container hub had been built and the dredging project of the dredging channel had been promoted. The implementation of the project is a vivid practice of jointly building the the Belt and Road, helping the new logistics channel in Eurasia continue to improve, and releasing the development potential of the trans Caspian multimodal transport channel.Editor/Min Jing
