On October 26, 2026, Ambassador Chen Mingjian met with the newly appointed Egyptian Ambassador to Tanzania, Abdulmejid, at the embassy.

Ambassador Chen welcomed Abdulmejid's arrival in Tanzania and stated that the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt 70 years ago marked the beginning of China Arab and China Africa cooperation. China is willing to maintain communication with all parties, including Egypt, in the new era and jointly strengthen cooperation between Tanzania and Africa.
