The construction of a 200000 ton negative electrode material project has been launched

This project is invested and constructed by Gui'an New Area Kaijin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kaijin New Energy. Kaijin New Energy is a national level specialized and new small giant enterprise specializing in the research, development, production, and sales of lithium battery negative electrode materials. Its products have high voltage, high rate, and long cycle characteristics, and can also be adapted to power battery energy storage batteries and consumer batteries. Its customers cover well-known domestic and foreign battery enterprises such as CATL, Haichen Energy Storage, LG SKI in South Korea.

The total investment of the project is 3.555 billion yuan, with a land area of 862 acres. The overall construction will be carried out in two batches. The first batch is planned to be put into operation in September 2027, and it is expected to be fully completed and put into operation in June 2028. After reaching full production capacity, the project is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of 5.5 billion yuan and provide more than 800 job opportunities, becoming a leading high-end lithium battery negative electrode material production base in the southwest region.

Accelerate the filling of shortcomings in the lithium battery cluster in Gui'an New Area

At present, Gui'an New Area is focusing on the core industry of new energy, with a layout of one core and two zones throughout the province, adhering to the dual track development of power batteries and energy storage batteries, expanding key materials and scenarios in both directions, and making every effort to build a cluster of new energy batteries and materials industries. As of the third quarter of 2026, the region has attracted industry leaders such as CATL, BYD, and Zhongke Electric to gather and develop, forming a 40GWh power battery production capacity, which is the core pillar leading the Guizhou new energy and new materials industry cluster.
