At the signing table, the moment the pen tip fell, a cooperation agreement spanning thousands of miles officially came into effect. Recently, Xi'an Kaixuan and Gotion signed a procurement agreement for the third phase of Egypt's energy storage project. The intelligent control platform independently developed by China will be sent to North Africa to install a smart brain for the largest independent energy storage project cluster in Africa, adding another stroke to its overseas expansion.

The weight behind a paper order

According to the agreement, Xi'an Kaixuan will provide a complete set of autonomous and controllable intelligent control platform solutions for two independent energy storage power plants, Neferti 500MW/1000MWh and Horus 250MW/500MWh in Egypt, covering EMS, PPC, and SCADA systems, including servers, workstations, industrial grade network switches, and other hardware. Xi'an will also lead the factory acceptance testing, on-site acceptance testing, and grid connection acceptance throughout the process, and provide customized training. The total scale of the two power stations is 750MW/1.5GWh, which is currently the largest independent energy storage project cluster in Africa and also the first large-scale grid side energy storage demonstration project in Egypt. The project is developed by AMEA Power in the United Arab Emirates, with CEEC serving as the EPC general contractor. Gotion provides the energy storage battery system, which has started global delivery in September 2026, and Shangneng Electric provides grid type PCS. The project has received financing support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with a long financing review cycle and strict compliance terms. There is a risk of delayed delivery of sub items, and the approval process for grid connection in Egypt is also uncertain, and the grid connection time cannot be guaranteed. The Test from Desert to Red Sea

The Neferti Power Station is located in the Aswan Benban Photovoltaic Park, facing high temperatures and strong sandstorms in the desert; The Horus power station is located in Zafarana along the Red Sea coast, and it has to withstand the erosion of high humidity and high salt spray. This order did not come out of thin air. Xi'an Kaixuan had previously won the bid and fulfilled the SCADA equipment procurement for the largest integrated solar energy storage project in Africa, Abidus Phase II. The project is equipped with 1GW photovoltaic and 600MWh energy storage, and the customer trust and local delivery experience have continued to this day. After the agreement is signed on October 30, 2026, the core equipment of the project will fully enter the delivery and execution stage.
