Tashkent Autumn Deep, a meeting on cooperation in architecture, urban development, and infrastructure pulled China and Ukraine from construction sites to the next blueprint. Sherzod Shikmatov, Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Utilities of Uzbekistan, sat with a delegation led by Gao Bo, Chairman of China Construction International Limited. China Construction International has participated in the implementation of multiple infrastructure projects in Ukraine. This time, we are going to talk about who will turn the drawings into roads and pipelines for the next batch of projects.

New project put on the agenda
The Ukrainian side has set clear priorities: modernizing the construction and urban development industry, developing modern infrastructure, introducing international experience, and emphasizing the importance of cooperation with leading Chinese enterprises. Both parties exchange views on possible cooperation directions and projects of common interest. Uzbekistan is promoting large-scale urbanization and housing construction, with the expansion of new Tashkent and several new cities, and the need to fill gaps in roads, bridges, and old heating systems; Prefabricated construction, EPC, PPP and other models are also expanding the construction channels. Previously, China Construction International had discussed project performance and infrastructure cooperation with the housing and transportation departments of Ukraine. This time, we have compiled a list of clues.

Chinese experience comes with the project
Gao Bo stated that China Construction International is willing to consider new projects that adopt modern technology and advanced engineering solutions. China Construction International is the core international business operation platform of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited, which is one of the large state-owned construction and engineering groups in China. Its business covers infrastructure development, construction, engineering, and urban development. Having been deeply rooted in Ukraine for many years, the Chinese side is familiar with local regulations and can provide full chain services from design to supporting energy. Wufang not only introduced construction methods, but also engineering management and industry upgrading paths; Chinese enterprises bring their design, construction, and project management experience to more international projects. If the project is implemented, it will also drive industries such as building materials, equipment manufacturing, logistics transportation, and employment.keywords:Engineering infrastructure

Keep talents in the local area
The other half of the issue falls on people. Both sides are concerned about learning from China's experience in the fields of construction and engineering, and discussing the cultivation of young experts and the improvement of skills for practitioners. The acceleration of urbanization in Ukraine has left engineering talents unable to keep up with the pace; China and Ukraine already have a foundation in joint laboratories, joint education, and training for young technical personnel. Include the cultivation of local engineers in the agenda in order to retain their abilities. After the meeting, both sides expressed their intention to deepen cooperation, jointly implement promising projects, and expand cooperation in professional talent cultivation. This exchange is still in the negotiation stage and has not involved agreement signing or implementation schedule. From project list to urban changes, there is still a generation of local engineers growing up; The project is solid, talent keeps up, and cooperation is stable.Editor/Yang Meiling
