In the morning mist of the Red River Delta, Hanoi is twisting the electronic components on the assembly line and the steel rails on the track into the same rope. Foreign investment workshops continue to expand production, and standard gauge railways extend northward. This city is no longer just an assembly terminal, but is rearranging the coordinates of the Southeast Asian industrial chain on the dual axis of foreign trade and infrastructure.

In the first ten months of 2026, Vietnam's foreign trade in Hanoi maintained a growth trend, with prominent driving effects from foreign investment entities and impressive performance in the electronics related industry. During the same period, Hanoi launched five public investment projects, including the construction of transportation and industrial supporting facilities, which have become important clues for observing the local economic trend.

The growth trend of foreign investment exports is improving

In the first ten months, the export vitality of foreign-funded enterprises in Hanoi was significant, and their growth performance was better than that of local enterprises. The synchronous increase in exports of computer electronic components, transportation equipment accessories, and agricultural products supports the overall foreign trade market. The expansion of local production has driven up the demand for imported equipment accessories, providing market opportunities for industrial supporting suppliers. Actual procurement needs still need to be further confirmed based on orders.

Accelerate the implementation of infrastructure projects

On November 4th, the Hanoi City People's Council finalized five public investment projects, including railway upgrades, elevated roads, and resettlement facilities. The Yuhui Jinshan Railway adopts standard gauge and reserves a cross-border railway channel for connection; The elevated road connects to the highway network, optimizing the external traffic conditions in the eastern part of the capital. The project is expected to improve regional transportation conditions, and the ultimate effectiveness depends on the progress of construction and the connection of the route. Local cultural and tourism cooperation is being promoted simultaneously, and tourism service providers can connect with overseas channels.
